Pipestone National Monument Visitor Center Closed Thanksgiving Day
Pipestone, MN: Superintendent Glen H. Livermont announced, “In observance of the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday, the Pipestone National Monument Visitor Center and the Pipestone Indian Shrine Association gift shop, located at the Visitor Center, will be closed on Thursday, November 23th. The Visitor Center and gift shop will re-open on Friday, November 24th.”
The Monument’s Circle Trail will be open on Thanksgiving Day for anyone wishing to spend the afternoon enjoying a walk on the trail. The fall and winter seasons offer many photographic opportunities of the prairie and wildlife. During this quiet time of the year, walking the Circle Trail, with family and friends, can be particularly enjoyable and peaceful.
The Visitor Center’s normal hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day of the week, including Saturday and Sunday. The Monument Staff wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving holiday and remind our visitors to dress warmly while walking the Circle Trail, during this time of year.
