Registered volunteers should plan to meet in the parking lot of the Eastern Front Visitor Center at 8:30 am. Work will commence at approximately 9:00 am and end at about 12:00 pm. Registered volunteers are encouraged to bring work gloves, wear weather appropriate dress and bring a refillable water bottle.
About Park Day
Civil War Trust created Park Day in 1996 and each year thousands of people volunteer in what the organization calls, “a hands-on preservation event to help Civil War battlefields and historic sites take on maintenance projects large and small”. Approximately 100 sites from coast to coast have signed up to participate this year. For more information about “Park Day” visit the Civil War Trust’s web site at American Battlefield Trust (battlefields.org) Park Day.
