PETERSBURG, Va - On Saturday, April 12, Petersburg National Battlefield finalized a philanthropic partnership agreement with Petersburg Battlefields Foundation. This partnership will enable the two organizations to work together to provide educational and volunteer opportunities for visitors. Our shared goals aim to build a community of stewardship and preserve the diverse stories found in the park's resources.
Petersburg Battlefields Foundation President George Fickett stated, "With this partnership, the Petersburg Battlefields Foundation will be able to work with Petersburg National Battlefield in common projects and fund raising to help the park better tell the story of the 292 days of fighting around Petersburg. We are looking forward to working with the park anyway we can."
