The National Park Service (NPS) and Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Hawaii have completed their assessment and the recommended phase one repairs of the shoreside dock. Publicly facilitated USS Arizona Memorial programs are set to resume after being suspended since September 3.
Operational testing will resume today, September 20 at 12 noon with public participation. Those with valid Recreation.gov reservation times are welcome to use them, the standby line for space available seating will also be accessible to those without. If the repair holds, programs will run as regularly scheduled beginning tomorrow, September 21. Additional repair work will be done as necessary.
The NPS will share updates on the dock status and reopening on our park website: www.nps.gov/perl and our social media pages as more information is available.
