Groups must submit a request form at least two weeks prior to their desired tour/program date(s). The form will be located towards the end of the page.
Carefully read the following: . If a request is received with less than two weeks notice, efforts will be made to accommodate the request with no guarantees. If you are unable to schedule an in-person tour or program, consider one of our public tours accomodating up to 40 people, offered Wednesday through Sunday at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Check our Park Tours page for more details.
1. Submission of the request form does not mean that you have scheduled a tour or program. Your program has not been scheduled until you have received correspondence from a Paterson Great Falls Ranger and until you have responded with a confirmation of your own. Upon receiving an offer, your group will tentatively be placed on the park calendar to reserve your tour time. If we do not receive a confirmation from the group contact within one week, we will assume that the group cannot make the offered tour time and remove the group from the calendar to make that time slot available for another group.
2. Making a reservation does not mean this is a private tour. Tours are open to the public. We have a reservation system in place to limit the amount of people joining the tour groups.
3. Programs are given rain or shine, except when conditions are dangerous. If a program is canceled, every attempt at rescheduling will be made, but is not guaranteed.
4. Groups of no more than 40 people are encouraged for on-site programs. If this is for a children's program, we require 1 chaperone (parent, scout leader, etc.) for every 10 students, which will count towards the 40-person number.
5. Unreserved Ranger led (45-minute walking tour) Public Programs are held Wednesday - Sunday at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. If you have a private (non-organization) group smaller than 40 people, we will encourage to join us for this free public tour instead of moving ahead with a reservation.
6. If your group would like to eat lunch at the Falls, we ask that you pack out your trash. While the park does have a few trash cans onsite, there are many groups that visit, and this will help us keep the park grounds clean and beautiful for the next group!
