Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument has limited services for visitors to the area. The towns of Ajo (34 miles north), Why (22 miles north), and Lukeville (5 miles south) are the closest areas to find goods and services. Tucson and Phoenix are the nearest cities for things like camping gear and medical services.

Food

A small selection of snacks are sold at the Kris Eggle Visitor Center; no drinks or ice are sold there. The towns of Lukeville, Why, and Ajo have gas stations with ATM's, snacks, drinks, and ice. Why has a restaurant and sometimes food trucks. Ajo has several restaurants, coffee shops, and a grocery store.

Fuel and Charging Stations

Gas stations are located in Ajo, Why, and Lukeville. No electric charging stations are located in the monument; the closest station is in Ajo at the Olsens/IGA grocery store.

Phone Service and Wi-Fi

There is no pay phone in Organ Pipe Cactus. Cell service is spotty in the monument; Verizon works best, while other carriers rarely get reception. The Kris Eggle Visitor Center has free Wi-Fi that can be used for calling and phones for emergencies services only.

Restrooms, Showers and Picnic Areas

Restrooms are located outside the Kris Eggle Visitor Center, in Twin Peaks and Alamo campgrounds, and at several picnic areas including Pinkley Peak, Bonita Well, Estes Canyon, and the visitor center picnic areas. Picnic areas with a picnic table only may also be found along the Ajo Mountain Drive.

Twin Peaks Campground provides free solar-heated showers for visitors staying at the campground.

Hotels, RV Parks and Mechanics

There are no hotels at Organ Pipe Cactus; Ajo is the closest town which has places for travelers to the area to stay and relax. Twin Peaks Campground provides RV camping sites for RVs up to 45 feet in length, and RV parks outside the monument may be found in the towns of Why and Ajo. Ajo also has mechanics for any services needed.

Post Office

There is a mail dropbox located near the Kris Eggle Visitor Center for letters or postcards only. It is in the tan mail container across from the parking area, near the Palo Verde Trail. No packages may be sent or delievered to visitors from the visitor center. Lukeville and Ajo have post offices as well: the Lukeville post office is located near the gas station, and the Ajo post office is located in the Ajo plaza.

Medical Services

The closest pharmacy and doctor is located in Ajo, AZ. Tucson and Phoenix are the closest cities with full medical services and providers.

Religious Services

No religious services are offered in the monument. Ajo is the closest town that provides religious services for several different faiths. The National Park Service does not endorse any group or message.
