Missouri’s Rock Island rail corridor is being transformed into a 144‑mile state park trail, revitalizing rural towns with new recreation, tourism, and economic opportunities. The National Park Service – Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance program (NPS-RTCA) is collaborating with communities and local leaders to develop trail sections, preserve historic sites, and create a connected, scenic route through the heart of the state.
