National Park Service accepting proposals to provide marina and visitor services

WASHINGTON —The National Park Service (NPS) is looking for a passionate, progressive and innovative concessioner to provide marina and visitor services at James Creek Marina for the next 10 years.  Join us in the Year of the Anacostia as D.C. comes together to honor history, celebrate progress and enjoy the Anacostia River.

The NPS seeks business proposals detailing how offerors can provide guest services at James Creek Marina along the Anacostia River. These services will include wet slip rentals, fuel service, marine sanitation, parking lot operations, and retail and vending sales. Additional services may include non-motorized vessel rental, trailer storage and quick food service.

Guest Services, Inc., has provided services at James Creek Marina since March 1986. The current concession contract expires at the end of 2018. In accordance with the terms of 36 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 51, the NPS has determined there are no preferred offerors for a new contract.

Site visit

A site visit is scheduled for August 9, 2018. The site visit will provide an overview of the concession operation, along with a tour of the concession facilities. All parties interested in attending the scheduled site visit must email National Capital Region (NCR) Concessions Management Specialist June Devisfruto at june_devisfruto@nps.gov, no later than 4 p.m. EDT, Monday, August 6.
