Temporary Closure of Hoh Rain Forest Area Due to Road Washout Outside Park Boundary

The Hoh Rain Forest area of Olympic National Park is temporarily closed until repairs are completed on Upper Hoh Road outside the park boundary. Jefferson County closed the Upper Hoh Road to through traffic today due to the washout at milepost 8.

Jefferson County plans to begin the road repairs next week. The work is expected to take two weeks to complete and the road will remain closed during repairs.

The Hoh Campground and Visitor Center are currently closed. The campground will reopen when the road repairs are complete. The Visitor Center is scheduled to reopen as usual in March.
