The foot bridge over Sol Duc Falls will be closed for replacement beginning Wednesday, May 15. The bridge will remain closed until the work is finished, which is anticipated to be by the end of the day on Wednesday, May 22. This maintenance will involve replacement of bridge decking and railings and will render the bridge impassable for the duration of the project. To ensure the safety of our visitors, the bridge and immediate vicinity will be closed to all public entry.

The Sol Duc Falls/Deer Lake Trail will be closed from the Canyon Creek (Sol Duc Falls) Shelter to the Deer Lake and Lovers Lane junction. This closure will include the Sol Duc Falls Bridge and the falls viewing platform area. The closure will remain in effect 24 hours a day. Access beyond the closure area to Deer Lake will be possible via the Lovers Lane Trail, which begins at the Sol Duc Resort.

For current road and travel information, visitors should consult the park website at www.nps.gov/olym and call the recorded Road and Weather Hotline at 360-565-3131.
