Port Angeles, Wash. – Explor Olympic, LLC has been selected to provide lodging, food and beverage, and other visitor services at Lake Crescent Lodge, Log Cabin Resort, Fairholme Store, and Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park. This new concession contract will be effective on February 1, 2026, and conclude on January 31, 2038.
Explor Olympic, LLC is a subsidiary of Ortega National Parks, LLC, a company with a long history of operating in national parks. Ortega National Parks and its subsidiaries currently manage 14 other concession contracts across the National Park System, providing a wide range of visitor services.
The National Park Service contracts with concessioners to enhance the visitor experience. Concessioners can provide services that federal agencies typically do not offer while still advancing the National Park Service mission. Concession operations also often expand employment opportunities in the communities surrounding national parks.
All proposals from qualified offerors were evaluated using the same criteria to ensure a fair and competitive process in accordance with the National Park Service Concessions Improvement Act of 1998.
