WARTBURG, Tennessee:The Obed Wild and Scenic River will be having a program entitled "The Epic Flood of '29" on Saturday, July 27th. This ranger-led program will discuss the flood in detail, including how it affected many lives and businesses along the Cumberland Plateau. Participants will walk along some of the areas that saw high-water marks for the flood and will hear some of the terrifying stories and legends from survivor accounts. Please meet the ranger at the Nemo Day Use Area at 1 p.m. (EDT). No reservations are necessary for this free program, which should conclude by 2 p.m. (EDT).
