WARTBURG, Tennessee: Join park rangers and Dr. F. Owen Hoffman for a stargazing and night sky interpretive program at the Lilly Overlook on Saturday night, July 26, at the Obed Wild and Scenic River. The program will begin at the Lilly Overlook parking area at 9:00 p.m. ET. From there, the program will progress to the overlook where Dr. Hoffman will be sharing his expertise on the night sky as well as a 10” Dobsonian/Newtonian telescope and 20x80mm astronomical binoculars for enhanced viewing of the night sky. This program will also discuss light pollution and the effect it is having on ecosystems around the world. All ages are welcome to attend this free event, but children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
