Obed Wild & Scenic River announces a new program for those who visit the park with their canine companions. The BARK Ranger program encourages “pawsitive” experiences for canine-visitors and their human companions, while keeping people, pets, and wildlife safe while visiting the park. The self-guided program is as easy as the acronym “BARK.”
- B – Bag your dog’s waste and properly dispose it
- A – Always leash your pet. Keep dogs on a six-foot leash and under control at all times while in the park
- R – Respect wildlife
- K – Know where you can go
Dogs completing this short program can be sworn in as BARK Rangers and their owners will be eligible to earn a special BARK Ranger collar tag at the visitor center.
