Contact: Chance Melton, 423-346-6294
Attention Kids and Adults! Come out on Saturday, June 23rd, and help Ranger Chance Melton measure river water quality. You will help look for and identify samples of various benthic macro invertebrates. You will then learn how these critters can be used to determine the river's water quality and about the effects pollution has on our rivers and streams. If you wish to participate, meet us at the Nemo bridge access in the park at 12 noon (Eastern Time). Please come prepared with water-friendly clothing and shoes. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This free event will continue as long as we have participants. No reservations are necessary. Hope to see you out there! For more information, please call the park at 423-346-6294. |
