Get out and explore YOUR Obed Wild and Scenic River! In celebration of the National Park Service Centennial, Obed is conducting a healthy hike along the Cumberland Trail section to Alley Ford on Saturday, February 27, at 1:00 p.m. (ET).

Join a park ranger at the Rock Creek Campground, located off Catoosa Road past the Nemo Day Use Area, for a moderate to strenuous 5-mile round-trip hike to Alley Ford. Experience the beauty of sandstone rock formations and the sound of the Emory River on this winter hike. Participants should expect to spend three hours for this hike.

Please wear weather appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes or boots and bring plenty of water. Hikers may also bring well-behaved dogs on a leash.

For more information, please contact the park at (423) 346-6294.
