Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area and Obed Wild & Scenic River will be celebrating the National Park Service Centennial during National Park Week from Saturday, April 16, through Sunday, April 24. Everyone is invited to discover all that America's more than 400 national parks have to offer with the theme "FindYour Park".

The Big South Fork and Obed offer a diverse range of recreational opportunities for visitors to experience. From horseback riding to river rafting, there is so much to see of the immense and scenic terrain. Take time to enjoy everything your parks have to offer.

National Park Week will kick off with free backcountry camping permits at both parks as well as free camping at Alum Ford (Big South Fork) and Rock Creek (Obed) Campgrounds from Saturday, April 16, through Sunday, April 24. Join us for National Junior Ranger Day and Earth Day on Saturday, April 23.

For the past 100 years, the mission statement of the National Park Service has been to "preserve unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the National Park System for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations". Imagine what the next 100 years will bring! There are hundreds of opportunities to find your park at www.nps.gov/npweek.
