WARTBURG, Tennessee: The Obed Wild and Scenic River will be hosting another Critters in the Creek program on Saturday, August 24th. For this program, participants will be helping Ranger Chance take samples of macro invertebrates from the Emory River as a means to test water quality. After the sampling, the group will work to identify the macro invertebrates and use them to score the water quality. To participate in this program, meet at the Nemo Day Use area at 1:00 p.m. (EDT). All ages are encouraged to attend, but children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program. Please wear water-friendly clothing and shoes for this river program.
