Join in the Earth Day fun, and discover how to become better stewards of our shared environment by participating in the annual Obed Wild and Scenic River volunteer clean-up event on Saturday, April 23. Earth Day is a chance for the world to unite around the importance of preserving a healthy planet, and the role we play in its protection.
This event is also in conjunction with National Park Week and National Junior Ranger Day! After the volunteer event, stop by the visitor center for a fun and interactive junior ranger program. All ages are welcome. There is family fun for everyone!
Participants should meet at Obed Visitor Center at 208 N. North Maiden Street in Wartburg at 9:00 AM (ET) for the clean-up event. Volunteers should bring water, insect repellent, sun block and wear sturdy shoes. Bags for garbage and recycling, litter pickup sticks and gloves will be provided.
