North Cascades Lodge at Stehekin in consultation with its National Park Service partners has decided to suspend transportation services due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes concessioner operated services for the Rainbow Falls Tour and hiker shuttle. Visitors can still enjoy the area by walking or finding alternate transportation up the Stehekin Valley Road.
Overnight lodging and take-out food service, limited retail, and fuel at the marina will continue to be available for all park visitors.
The health and wellbeing of visitors and employees at North Cascades National Park remains our top priority. We continue to work closely with the NPS Office of Public Health using CDC guidance to ensure public areas and workspaces are safe and clean for visitors, employees, partners, and volunteers. Modifications to operations will be flexible, continually evaluated and adjusted as necessary to ensure public health and safety.
We ask the public to recreate responsibly by adopting social distancing practices and wearing a face covering when social distance cannot be maintained. Additional trip planning and health guidance is available on the NPS COVID-19 response website.
Details and updates on park operations will continue to be posted on our website at www.nps.gov/noca and social media channels. Updates about NPS operations will be posted on www.nps.gov/coronavirus.
