Music in the American Wild will provide free, family-friendly activities and performances as a part of the North Cascades National Park Service Complex 50th anniversary celebrations August 21-25. Imagine hearing the sounds of classical music echoing across the Cascade Mountains as an ensemble of seven musicians brings a musical experience to the trails of the North Cascades. Music in the American Wild activities and performances include:
August 21
1-2 pm Back Porch Music: Cascade Karaoke, North Cascades Visitor Center
3-4 pm Nature Inspires Music, Newhalem
7-8:30 pm Campground Concert, Newhalem Creek Campground
August 22
1-2 pm Back Porch Music: Cascade Karaoke, North Cascades Visitor Center
3-4 pm Music Moves Outdoors, Newhalem
7-8:30 pm Campground Concert, Newhalem Creek Campground
August 23
1-2 pm Back Porch Music: Cascade Karaoke, North Cascades Visitor Center
3-4 pm Nature Inspires Music, Newhalem

Free transportation will be provided from Concrete, WA on August 21 and 23, and from Darrington, WA August 22 and 24 for families in the local communities to enjoy the activity and celebrations. Seating is limited, reservations are recommended through Katy Hooper, katy_hooper@nps.gov.
