(Ninety Six, SC) Ever hear a musket boom and spit smoke and fire? Ever see Ladies spin yarn or bake in a Beehive oven? Come visit Ninety Six National Historic Site Saturday, May 17 to experience life in Colonial times. Living Historians will be displaying their Colonial & Revolutionary War skills around the park’s Black Swan Tavern from 10am until 2pm. Special talks, tours, and children’s activities might also be available that day. Check in the Park’s VisitorCenter for details. Living History Saturdays are held the third Saturday of each month May through August (May 17, June 21, July 19, August 16). Different living history skills and demonstrations are displayed at each program so come for one or come for them all. The Park features two Revolutionary War battlefields, the original 1781 Star Fort, an authentic cabin, museum, ten minute interpretive film, VisitorCenter with bookstore, small picnic area, and much more. Come spend the day discovering Ninety Six National Historic Site for yourself. The Park is located 2 miles south of the town of Ninety Six on Highway 248.
