Contact: Sarah Cunningham, 864-543-4068 NINETY SIX, South Carolina: On Saturday, October 12 Ninety Six National Historic Site will light the path through time during the 32nd Autumn Candlelight Tour. Reenactors will present scenes from the earliest days of Ninety Six to the American Revolution along the one-mile interpretive trail lit by the soft glow of hundreds of luminaries and lanterns.Tours begin at 7 p.m. and depart at 10-minute intervals with the last tour at 8:20 p.m.Tours last approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Each tour will be accompanied by a guide who will lead the way back in time with a period-style lantern.
Tickets are free and are only available the evening of the event at the information tent located near the main parking area.The 22-minute park film, "Ninety Six:Crossroads of a Revolution" will be available for viewing in the visitor center until 8:30 p.m. and the gift shop will be open until 9 p.m. for visitors who would like to browse the park's selection of books and gifts. Use your bookstore receipt as your VIP ticket to the tour of your choice. Visitors should wear comfortable outdoor clothing and walking shoes. The trail is uneven in some areas and caution is suggested. The park encourages visitors to carpool as parking will be limited.
