(Ninety Six, SC) The VisitorCenter at Ninety Six National Historic Site will change hours starting February 1, 2009. The new VisitorCenter hours will be 9:00 am to 5:00pm. Park grounds will remain open daylight to dusk. Visitors may park outside the main gate before the gates open at 8:00 am to walk the trails. Ninety Six National Historic Site features two Revolutionary War battlefields, the original 1781 Star Fort, an authentic cabin, museum, ten minute interpretive film, Visitor Center with bookstore, small picnic area, and much more. Come spend the day discovering Ninety Six National Historic Site for yourself. The Park is part of the National Park Service and one of only seven National Park units within the state. The Park is open daily 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (closed only New Years’ Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day). The Park is located two miles south of Ninety Six on SC Highway 248.
