Ninety Six National Historic Site to Increase Visitor Services

NINETY SIX, SOUTH CAROLINA –Ninety Six National Historic Site is increasing access to visitor services.  Starting January 15, 2023, the visitor center and museum will be open daily Wednesday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.  Public restrooms and the park grounds remain open 7 days a week, except on federal holidays as specified in the superintendent’s compendium.

In addition to visitor center access, public events and programs will increase in 2023. A tentative list can be found below. Some events may be subject to change or cancellation.

February 17 and 18 – Great Back Yard Bird Count Bird Walks
March 4 to 5 – Colonial Women’s History
April 1 to 2 – 96 Crossroads
April 22 - Junior Ranger Day
April 23 - Community Hike/ Picnic
May 13 – Star Fort Pond Fishing Rodeo
May 20 – Bird Walk
May 27 – Reading with a Ranger
June 3 – Star Fort Pond Fishing Clinic
June 12 to 16 – Science Summer Camp for 5^th and 6^th graders
June 24 – Reading with a Ranger at the Festival of Stars
June 26 to 30 – History Summer Camp for 3^rd and 4^th graders
July 8 – Day of Independence and Rev Run 5k
July 29 – Reading with a Ranger
August 5 –Colonial Games
August 26- Reading with a Ranger
September 16 – Spider Walk
September 23 – Fall Art in the Park
October 14 – Autumn Candlelight Tour
November 11 – Starry Starry Night
November 18 to 19 – Battle of 96
December 2 – Harvest and Holiday
