Nicodemus National Historic Site's two purposes are to preserve, protect, and interpret, for the benefit and enjoyment of present and future generations, the remaining structures and locations that represent Nicodemus' history and interpret the historical role of Nicodemus after the post-Civil War Reconstruction period and in the context of the homesteading movement across the Great Plains of the United States. Volunteers can help keep the legacy of Nicodemus alive. Public support is a critical component in the management of National Park Service units. No other federal agency relies as heavily on the generosity and kindness of its visitors, and we thank you for your past support and look forward to future partnerships.
