Thurmond Depot Visitor Center Closing for the Season Soon

Glen Jean, West Virginia—This weekend is the last chance to visit the Thurmond Depot Visitor Center in Thurmond for the 2015 season. This National Park Service depot facility will be open10:00 am to 5:00 pmonOctober 24 and 25. Though this visitor center will be closing for the winter, the Thurmond Historic District is there to explore year-round.

New River Gorge National River's Canyon Rim Visitor Center in Lansing and Sandstone Visitor Center in Sandstone are open year round, daily9:00 am to 5:00 pm(closedNovember 26,December 25, andJanuary 1). The depot visitor center will reopen Memorial Day weekend of 2016.
