GLEN JEAN, WV – The National Park Service (NPS) Public Meeting/Open House on Thursday, January 11 in Glen Jean on the project to remove excess structures and address deferred maintenance needs will also be an opportunity for the public to provide their written comments on cards that will be provided at the event.
Exhibits providing information on the project will be on display and park staff will be on site to listen to comments and answer questions the public might have. This project is currently in the preliminary proposal stage and comments and suggestions are welcomed as the park moves through the planning process.
The meeting will be from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm at the Bank of Glen Jean at 23 County Route 25/9 in Glen Jean directly across the road from Park Headquarters. For those unable to attend the public meeting, an opportunity to provide comments and obtain additional information will be available until January 15 on the NPS planning website at https://parkplanning.nps.gov/GAOAExcessStructureDemo
