Celebrate West Virginia's spectacular wildflowers through art work created by students in the local community! In partnership with Tamarack and the school systems of Fayette, Raleigh, Nicholas and Summers counties, the New River Gorge National River sponsored an art contest for students in grades K-12, featuring the region's wildflowers as the subject of their works. More than 380 students from area public and private schools, home schools, and private/individual participated in this art contest. Fifty-five entries were juried to this Tamarack exhibit. Join us for a ceremony to honor these student artists. When: Sunday, April 6th, 4:00 PM Where: Tamarack Auditorium in Beckley, WV Who: Join the Tamarack team, National Park Service representatives, and teachers and families from four counties to celebrate the students who participated in the Youth Arts in the Parks program and earned top honors for their artwork.
