New Philadelphia National Historic Site is at 29766 306 Lane in Barry, Illinois. It is about 26 miles east of Hannibal, Missouri, and 77 miles west of Springfield, Illinois. Admission is free. The information kiosk and grounds are open daily, 24 hours. For more information about visiting the site, stop by the Virtual Visitor Center. If you prefer to speak to a ranger, call (573) 880-3120. Rangers are available to take your call Thursday through Monday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. You can also email us. The historic site grounds are open all year, but park rangers may not be available. Please check the information kiosk for brochures and Passport to Your National Parks® stamps. There are no indoor facilities, including a visitor center or bookstore. Restrooms and water fountains are not available. The historic site grounds are open year-round for self-guided walking tours. The ¼-mile walking trail is open 24 hours, every day of the year. Tours for Schools and Large Groups The park does not currently offer ranger-led programs for school groups. Schools and other educational groups may request tours from the New Philadelphia Association, a local non-profit. For more information, call 833-582-9622. Please check back before you visit.
