LAPWAI, Idaho – On May 20 a high wind event blew down numerous large trees on the Heart of the Monster trail in Nez Perce National Historical Park. The trail was damaged and temporarily closed due to safety concerns. Park staff worked with local contractors, Herco Inc. Asphalt, to remove the fallen trees and repair the trail. The park would like to thank the community for their cooperation during this time.
