National Park kicks off summer event series

LAPWAI, Idaho – Have you ever seen someone make a pair of moccasins? This June is your chance! Jessica Allen will be at the Spalding Visitor Center to demonstrate traditional moccasin making techniques. Later in the month, Ciarra Green will give a program about cultural ecology. Learn more about Nez Perce culture at these free summer events:

          June 1  10 a.m.-2 p.m.  Moccasin Making Demonstration
          June 15          10 a.m.-2 p.m.  Moccasin Making Demonstration
          June 22          10 a.m.-11 a.m. Cultural Ecology Talk
