The National Park Service is issuing a Request for Proposals for interested individuals and organizations to submit proposals to lease property inside the Natchez Visitor Center at 640 South Canal Street in Natchez, Mississippi.
This property consists of one customer service counter (approximately 8’ x 5’) and office space behind this counter as well as the sole use of one 5’ x 10’ brochure rack located in the common lobby area. The property is non-historic.
The lessee will use the property to provide visitors with tour information and/or tickets, maps, hotel reservations, local event tickets, or other purposes consistent with tourism promotion and enhancement that is typically provided in a visitor center or welcome center.
The lease term will be negotiated with the selected applicant. The lease term will begin on September 1, 2021. The lease will require lessee to pay the NPS at least fair market value rent. The NPS will decide the fair market value rent after selecting the best proposal. The RFP and 36 CFR Part 18 describes the offered lease’s proposed terms. The NPS and the selected applicant will negotiate the final lease terms
.This lease opportunity is open to all interested persons competitively. Whoever submits the proposal judged best under the proposal selection criteria will be given an opportunity to negotiate a final lease agreeable to both the applicant and the NPS.
