WASHINGTON — The National Park Service is offering a 10-year concessions opportunity to provide food and beverage, retail and boat rental services near iconic destinations across the National Mall and Memorial Parks and President’s Park.
The NPS seeks business proposals detailing how offerors would provide commercial visitor services for the National Mall, Lincoln Memorial, Tidal Basin, Ellipse in President’s Park and several other locations. The selected operator will manage 12 permanent kiosks and up to 25 seasonal, temporary push carts at approved locations offering food and beverage and/or retail to visitors. The operator will also offer paddle and battery-powered boat rentals at the Tidal Basin.
This opportunity is advertised on the NPS concessions website. The NPS will accept proposals through March 18, 2020.
Guest Services, Inc. currently provides services at the National Mall and Memorial Parks and President’s Park.
Site visit
A site visit with an overview of the concession operation and a tour of concession facilities for prospective offerors is scheduled for Dec. 6, 2019. All parties interested in attending the site visit must email National Capital Area Chief of Commercial Services, Chad Tinney no later than 12 p.m. EST, Dec. 5, 2019. All emails must include your name, email address, phone number and the name of the organization or interested party being represented.
