The National Park Service (NPS) is offering a unique business opportunity to provide quick food and beverage services at national parks throughout the National Capital Region, as well as temporary food and beverage services at some of the nation’s most famous events throughout greater Washington, D.C.

This opportunity is advertised on the NPS concessions website. The NPS will accept proposals through October, 16, 2019.

The prospectus for this business opportunity includes the following services:

  • Temporary food and beverage services at special events throughout the National Capital Region. Events include but are not limited to Fourth of July celebrations, Presidential Inaugurations, the National Cherry Blossom Festival, the Anacostia River Festival, Fort Dupont Concert Series and other musical, cultural and social festivals.

  • Year-round vending services at Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park, located in Great Falls, Md.

  • Seasonal food and beverage sales at the George Washington Memorial Parkway Great Falls Park Snack Bar in Virginia, the Anacostia Skating Pavilion and future scheduled events at the Carter Barron Amphitheater in Rock Creek Park.

The ideal concessioner will be able to concurrently manage multiple operations of differing scale and complexity while providing high-quality food and exceptional service. Along with food and beverage services for the parks and events detailed above, this opportunity will authorize the concessioner to provide other temporary food and beverage services in other National Capital Region parks as approved.
