Keystone, S.D. – With the enactment of the continuing resolution, staff at Mount Rushmore National Memorial have resumed normal operations as of Monday January 28, 2019.
”We are happy to welcome our visitors with full winter services. A special thank you to our park partner Xanterra Travel Collection who continued to provide excellent guest services during the partial shutdown. Thank you to the Mount Rushmore Society as well for providing ongoing park support,” stated Superintendent Cheryl Schreier.
The Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center, Mount Rushmore Bookstores, and park Information Center are all open from 8 AM to 5 PM daily. View the park movie, learn about the carving process, and find the perfect memento of your visit at the main visitor center. The Carvers’ Marketplace is open from 8 AM to 4:30 PM providing meals or a taste of history with Thomas Jefferson ice cream. The Gift Shop is open from 8 AM to 6 PM offering a wide variety of treasures.
