(Keystone, SD) In solemn remembrance of September 11, 2001, Mount Rushmore National Memorial will be extending the evening illumination of the sculpture through the night of Saturday, September 11. After the regular Evening Program that begins at 8:00 pm on Saturday, the carving will remain illuminated until sunrise on Sunday, September 12.

The National Park Service and concession facilities will be closed during this time, however the parking facility gates will be left open after the evening program. For further information, please call [phone].
