Mount Rushmore National Memorial Announces Summer Hours

KEYSTONE, SD: Superintendent Cheryl Schreier has announced the summer schedule for Mount Rushmore National Memorial.

May 23, 2014, will mark the start of summer hours for the Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center and the Information Center. The centers will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. The evening program and lighting ceremony will be offered at 9:00 p.m. from May 23 to August 9 and at 8:00 p.m. from August 10 through September 30. Special ranger-led interpretive programs begin May 23.

The historic Sculptor’s Studio is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from May 11 to May 23 and from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from May 24 through August 9. The Audio Tour building is open from May 11 through August 9 from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.

The parking facility will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. from May through mid-August.

Hours for the Xanterra Dining Room and Gift Shop will be as follows:
