Superintendent Gerard Baker has announced the summer schedule for Mount Rushmore National Memorial.
Beginning May 23, 2009, the Memorial’s Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center and the Information Center will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. The evening program and lighting ceremony is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. from May 23 to August 14 and then at 8:00 p.m. from August 15 through September 30. Daily ranger-led interpretive programs will begin on Saturday, May 23. The historic Sculptor’s Studio will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from May 15 to May 23 and from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from May 24 through August 15. The Audio Tour building will be open beginning May 23 from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm.
Presidential Parking Inc. will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from May 3 to May 8. From May 9 through May 22, the parking facility will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and from May 23 to August 14, the facility will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.
The hours for the Xanterra Dining Room and Gift Shop will be as follows:

Carvers Café 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Ice Cream 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
