Internship Opportunities

Each summer Mount Rushmore National Memorial hosts a paid summer internship through our cooperating assocation the Mount Rushmore Society. The Kay Jorgensen Interpretive Internship application period is open from early February to early March.

Duties include:

• Formal interpretive talks
• Staffing desks in the Lincoln Borglum Visitor Center and Information Center
• Providing Junior Ranger experiences
• Answering information requests by mail and phone
• Collateral duties that support visitor center operations
