![]() NPS Photo The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the Privacy Act are federal laws that give you the right to access federal government records, including Mount Rainier National Park records, unless the government reasonably foresees that the release of the information in those records would harm an interest protected by one or more of the nine exemptions or law enforcement exclusions; or, release is prohibited by law. Police ReportsThe Privacy Act gives you the right to any government records the government holds that pertain to you including your traffic crashes, personal injuries, or loss/damage of your personal property. To request a copy of a record that pertains to you, complete and submit one of the following forms:
Complete all the form fields. Under ‘Additional Information’ please provide additional information to aid us in correctly identifying and locating your records such as the case incident number and name of the national park where the incident occurred, investigating officer, date, names of people/vehicles involved including full names and dates of birth and/or driver license numbers, etc. Submit the completed form to the Office of Public Trust, or Mount Rainier National Park at one of the following: Mail: Email: Online SearchesThe information you are seeking may already be available on-line.
