Military Through the Ages Demonstrations

Moores Creek National Battlefield hosted a Virtual Military Through the Ages event on May 23, 2020. On this page, we have included all of those historic weapons demonstrations. The demonstrations begin in the 17th century with the matchlock musket and go all the way through more modern weaponry.

Also on this page is a variety of civilian demonstrations, including laundry, cooking, toys and games, and cartridge rolling.

  17th Century Matchlock

  Join rangers from DeSoto National Memorial for a demonstration of the 17th century matchlock musket.
