Maintenance workers at Montezuma Well expect a partial closure of the main loop trail. The trail from the irrigation canal (outlet trail) to the parking lot (return trail) will be closed for a full day on January 11th, 2017 to conduct hazard tree removal operations. Additionally, visitors can expect a partial closure to the parking lot to facilitate work activities. The main overlook and the trail that leads down into the well will be unaffected. It is expected that the work will be completed in one day.
The trail and parking lot will be fully reopened and unaffected by workers the following day, however, the outlet trail will continue to be partially closed below the steps and across the footbridge.
The public may inquire about this routine maintenance project by contacting our headquarters office at 928-567-5276.
