Montezuma Castle National Monument will host a Veterans Day Ceremony in partnership with The Verde Valley Marine Corps League. The ceremony will start at 10:00 a.m. November 11th, 2016 with the posting of the colors and Pledge of Allegiance. The MC and guest speaker will be Command Chief Master Sergeant Robert (Bob) Hall, U.S. Air Force (Retired). Following his message on what it is to be a veteran, he will announce each major war fought by US forces since the founding of the country followed by a ringing of the Bell, that we may never forget. A rifle volley and the playing of Taps will end the program, followed by National Park Service volunteer, Harry Seavey, playing Amazing Grace on the Native American flute.

The National Park Service celebrates its 100th Anniversary in 2016. Over 20,000 National Park Service employees care for America’s 413 national parks and monuments and create close-to-home recreational and cultural opportunities.
