Montezuma Castle (includes the Montezuma Well Unit) and Tuzigoot National Monuments Announce Newly Updated Fire Restrictions 

Camp Verde, AZ / Rimrock, AZ / Clarkdale, AZ — Following similar restrictions from surrounding federal, state, and local jurisdictions and effective immediately, The National Park Service sites in Yavapai County - Montezuma Castle (includes the Montezuma Well Unit) and Tuzigoot National Monuments are announcing their newly updated fire restrictions. 
 

The following is prohibited: 

  • Smoking, including Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (E.N.D.S.), except when inside a personal vehicle.  
  • Any open flame source within the boundaries of the National Park Service without a written permit authorized by the Superintendent or their designee. Includes igniting, building, maintaining a fire of wood / charcoal briquettes. Use of propane fire in designated areas is allowed.
