Beginning in October of 2018 and continuing through April of 2019, Montezuma Well and Tuzigoot National Monument will host free bird walks.
On the first and third Saturdays of each month, walks will take place from 8:30-11 am at Montezuma Well. Each walk will begin at the Montezuma Well Picnic area. Bird walks at Montezuma Well are rated easy-moderate.
On the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, walks will take place from 8:30-11 am at Tuzigoot National Monument in Tavasci Marsh. Each walk will begin at the Tuzigoot Visitor Center parking lot. No bird walks will be scheduled for November 24th nor December 22rd due to the holidays. Bird walks at Tavasci Marsh are rated moderate-strenuous.
Participants are encouraged to bring water, binoculars, a hat, and to wear comfortable shoes for walking. The trails can be steep, rocky and uneven.
