Summer is the busy season at Mesa Verde, when hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world come to Mesa Verde to explore and learn from this sacred landscape. Join a ranger for a tour into a cliff dwelling, camp out in Morefield Canyon, hike into Spruce Canyon, and marvel at a sky full of stars.

Cliff Dwelling Tours

The 2022 Tour Season will run from May 1 through October 22. Advance tour tickets are required. Visit the page for Cliff Dwelling Tour Tickets to learn more about tours offered in 2022 and how to buy tickets.

Road Construction

Road construction will be active throughout the park this season. The Cliff Palace Loop Road will be closed for construction through approximately July 1, when the Mesa Top Loop Road will close. Please allow extra time to reach your destination, drive slowly, and be alert to workers and heavy equipment.
