Mesa Verde National Park announces Wildflower Week June 3 to 9, 2018.  Although the park is experiencing drought conditions and wildflowers are not as abundant as in wetter years, several wildflowers are blooming including Utah sweetvetch, mules ears, lupine and yucca. For Wildflower Week 2018, the park is partnering with the Natural History Museum at University of Colorado Boulder to provide interactive exhibits focusing on celebrating and understanding wildflowers and their natural history (schedule below). To experience the wildflowers at Mesa Verde National Park we invite you to hike the Prater Ridge and Park Lookout trails and/or drive the road to Wetherill Mesa.
