Operating Hours & Seasons

The Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site is now open Tuesday through Saturday, from 9am to 4:30pm. Daily historic house tours are available at 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm. (Check out Things To Do to learn how to make a reservation). The park store and indoor interpretive displays are accessible to the public, with limited capacity in accordance with CDC safe distancing guidelines.

The site is closed Sundays and Mondays, as well as Thanksgiving, December 25th and January 1st.

**The site will be OPEN on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 16, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Public tours will be offered that day at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m.

 
Quality Row
Walker's house sat squarely in the center of “Quality Row,” a residential block of African American lawyers, doctors, ministers, and bankers in Jim Crow Richmond’s Jackson Ward.
