Crunch time!

August 12, 2014 Posted by: A Koller

This past week was completely full; I did not have any spare time. During Tuesday and Wednesday, I was working with interpretation (being a mansion teward, working at the farm desk, etc.) and completed an online course on the Foundations of Interpretation through Eppley. Since our Youth Summit is approaching quickly (less than a week away!), the interns and I have been working hard further planning that day. I also had the opportunity to explore some new divisions this week such as SI (the Stewardship Institute) and do some fun activities. I also participated in a Go-No-Go training in which I learned how to assess hazardous situations and weigh the risks of proceeding/aiding in potentially dangerous scenarios. Overall, the training was rather somber and enlightening. Additionally, I traveled to the SCA offices in New Hampshire and met some really nice people.

Overall, it’s crunch time. Our group has to really work together to pull off this Youth Summit and video project by this Thursday. Despite working constantly, I’m having fun. :)
